Abstract

Celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Information Design International Conference, this special issue of Infodesign presents a selection of evaluated papers at CIDI 2023. The selected works present different aspects of Information Design in contemporary research performed in Brazil and in countries such as Ireland, England, Belgium, Portugal, the United States, Canada and Chile. Theory and practice are mixed in methodological, historical and educational perspectives, demonstrating the plurality of the field.

Kelli C.A.S. Smythe, Universidade Federal do Paraná / SBDI

Professora adjunta e pesquisadora no departamento de Design da UFPR, com projeto de pesquisa voltado à sistemas de wayfinding em ambientes hospitalares e projeto de extensão sobre comunicação de risco para pessoas em situação de vulnerabilidade.

Rafael C. Andrade, Universidade Positivo / SBDI

Rafael Ancara é designer da informação, professor e pesquisador. Um dos focos da sua atuação é entender como as explicações visuais podem facilitar a comunicação. É fundador de diversos projetos de divulgação de design, entre eles o Pensar Infográfico (@pensarinfog) e o podcast Visual+mente (@vismaismente).
