Abstract

In this article we reflect on the contribution of design thinking, inherent to Information Design, to the teaching-learning processes in Basic Education, specifically in Secondary Education Integrated with Vocational Education. The paper presents the process of creating interactive infographics experienced by the students and analyzes how educational practice through Design-Based Learning can contribute to the understanding of the contents of regular education and to the development of basic skills for contemporary young people. We also describe how we relied on the agile culture to facilitate the development of the students' projects. This, in turn, was incorporated by them into the collaborative work carried out throughout the process of creating the infographics. Finally, we highlight the importance of proposing a school model where production and design play a prominent role.
